CDP - Credit Diploma Program
The Credit Diploma Program (CDP) offers students an avenue to fulfill the State of Connecticut's requirements for high school completion by attending classes at one of our sites. Academic classes are structured to meet the graduation requirements of the participating school districts and the needs of the students (with distance learning also an option). In addition, students may be awarded credit for work experience, military service, etc. A Vernon Regional Adult High School Diploma is granted upon completion of the program.
New Policy:
Present Students: if a student is 16 years old and currently attending an Adult Education Program prior to July 1, 2011, then that student is grandfathered into the program and may continue with classes in the fall.
New Students: As of July 1, 2011, any student who is 16 will not be allowed to enroll in Adult Education until they are 17 years old. To begin fall classes, the student must be at least 17 years old, possess an official/valid I.D. (check expiration date), and obtain an official withdrawal from high school.
Classes are offered at Bacon Academy, E.O. Smith High School, Griswold High School, and Rockville High School.
Important:
New students must now attend an orientation session before being admitted into high school completion classes, including CDP, GED, and NEDP.
